Media Formats
Okay...Windows
media formats were created by Microsoft Corp. for the sole
purpose of distrubuting
copyrighted material over the internet.
Microsoft
created these formats as competition to mpeg & mp3, hoping
that companies
would buy access to their format and create music and/or vidoes
that had copyright
protection...ie. the files delete themselves after x amount of
time.
Currently,
all my media has been created without any time restrictions,
however, if Fortunecity, King Records
or Tatsunoko wish me to add these time restrictions, please email me immediately. (Please note: this
is a different email address to the other ones listed on this
site. Please use when concerning legal
matters only!)
As for the MPEG video files, I didn't create them, please email the creators for information (see credits or the acutal file).
On
every video and audio piece I've created, I have included this
legal information in the "Comments" section:
Created by Tekkaman Eva. All rights
remain the property of Tatsunoko Productions. This video clip is not to be used
for commercial intent. If any copyright issues arise, then please contact me
at [email protected] This video clip (the file), is the copyright of Tekkaman
Eva (Andrew Munro), 2000. Please do not use this clip without my permission.

Windows Media Format Information
Windows Media Formats
are the most effective audio/video compression codecs currently on the internet
(other than Divx, but mpeg-4 is still a legal mystery).
They allow several minutes of data to be compressed to but a few
megabytes...they compress better than
mp3/mpeg mb to minute. Their quality also remains almost
identical to any mp3/mpeg video.
WMA/WMV
require the newest Windows Media Player (Version 7) to play...although
codec upgrades will
suffice to run them, Windows Media Player 6 (in my experience), run the files
like a network connection, and thus the sound and video can be up to 5 seconds
out.
Please
note that I am NOT a Microsoft employee, nor am I using Microsoft
Media Technologies
for profit or political/economic gain. If someone can tell me a
program that allows wmv to mpeg
conversion, please tell me, and I may consider converting all of
this sites files.
